What is heat rash?

The NHS website describes heat rash or prickly heat as:

"Prickly heat, also known as miliaria rubra, is an itchy rash of small, raised red spots that causes a stinging or prickling sensation on the skin."

Sympotoms inlcude:

Mild swelling 

Itching

A stinging or intense prickling sensation

Prickly heat is usually caused by hot or humid weather casuing you to sweat more and therefore the body's sweat glands become blocked. The trapped sweat can cause skin irritation and heat rash.
